Wanda E. Del Rio, 43, of Millbury, passed away Tuesday, June 8th 2010 in the University of Massachusetts Hospital after a 3 month battle with cancer. Wanda leaves behind her beloved fiancée, John Charron; her mother, Ana G. Lopez of Worcester; her father Daniel Del Rio in Puerto Rico; four sisters Lourdes Del Rio in Puerto Rico, Maria, Linda and Elizabeth Del Rio all of Worcester and a brother, Daniel Del Rio, Jr. in Puerto Rico. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She grew up in Arecibo, graduated from College of The Sacred Heart in Puerto Rico and lived nine years in New York City before moving to Worcester. Wanda was employed as a transport driver for the Safeway Corporation. She enjoyed Motorcycles, the theatre, photography, dance & music. She was a smiling happy person who could light up a room with her presence. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Funeral services for Wanda will be held Thursday, June 10th at 7:30 p.m. in The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will be at a later date in Puerto Rico. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday June 10th in the funeral home prior to the service.
