Barbara M Potenti

Barbara M. "Nana" (LaBuff) Potenti 82, of Worcester, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 20, 2010, surrounded by her adoring family. Barbara was pre-deceased by her husband, Robert J. Potenti and her son, William F. Potenti. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Sandra Potenti-O'Neal of Bradenton, FL; a son, Robert Potenti, Jr., with whom she lived; a sister, June Fontaine of West Boylston; seven grandchildren, Tara, Jason and Amy O'Neal, Gabriella and Mariana Potenti, Heather and Ryan Hamilton;seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including her favorites Judy Doherty and Robert Fontaine, Jr. She is also survived by Mrs. Diane Hamilton of Sturbridge. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Francis and Katherine (Parmenter) LaBuff, and has lived here all her life. She retired from Elkay Products. She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church. She loved flowers, cards, shopping and getting her hair and nails done. She will always be remembered as a "STUNNER". Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 25, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held Monday, May 24, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
