Jane L Teczar

Jane L. (Migneault) Teczar, 65, of Shrewsbury passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the UMASS Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Jane is survived by her devoted family; her husband of 46 years Richard J. Teczar; her daughter, Laura J. Teczar both of Shrewsbury; many nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Her brother, John Migneault pre deceased her. Jane was born in Worcester December 24, 1944 daughter of the late John and Dora (DeFlavio) Migneault She graduated from Auburn High School, attended Quinsigamond Community College and has lived in Shrewsbury since 1968. Jane worked as an Administrator in the Department of Medicine of the UMASS Memorial Healthcare, University Campus for twenty five years before she retired. In 2006, Jane with her husband and daughter, founded Queen Bead & Gifts in Northboro and was still working up until her passing. Jane was a long time communicant of St. Mary Church. She enjoyed being with her family especially her daughter and their shopping trips together. She loved to do crafts, and for many years volunteered her time to organize and work the craft tables for the annual Spirit of Shrewsbury Festival. While at Auburn High she was the captain of the Women's Basketball Team that won the State Championship. Jane will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Richard and Laura would like to extend their appreciation to the doctors and nurses at the UMASS Memorial Hospital Belmont St. for their kindness and compassion during Jane's stay there. Jane's funeral will be held Monday May 24, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the church of St. Mary 640 Main St. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Worcester. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours in the funeral home Sunday, May 23rd from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
