Thomas M Griffiths

Thomas M. Griffiths, 74, of Worcester, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, in The Saint Francis Home. He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Carolyn A. Shilale; a daughter, Michelle K. Bello of Worcester; four sons, Jeffrey T. Griffiths and his wife Colleen of Charlton, Scott M. Griffiths and his wife Maryann of Leicester, Timothy M. Griffiths of Leicester and Chad T. Griffiths of Worcester; six grandchildren, Heidi, Anthony, Michael, Daniel, Sam and Mason. His sister, Gladys Gernstrom, pre-deceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Thomas H. and Alice M. (Kay) Griffiths, and has lived here all his life. Thomas worked in the EBS department for UMass Hospital and Medical School, before he retired. He had previously worked for the City of Worcester, Department of Public Works; and has also worked for David Clark Company, where he had assisted in the design and construction of astronaut space gloves. He was a member of Red Sox Nation. He enjoyed the ocean and visits to Rye Beach. In accordance with his wishes there are no calling hours or services.
