Yolanda (Tomasino) Smolenski, 89, formerly of Chino Ave. died peacefully Friday May 7, 2010 in the River Terrace Healthcare Center surrounded by her loving family. Her Husband Joseph J. Smolenski Sr. died in 1986. Yolanda is survived by two daughters in law, Judith Smolenski and Tara Smolenski, three grandchildren, Todd Smolenski, Lisa (Smolenski) O'Grady and Jamie Smolenski; five great grandchildren, and one great great grandson, many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two sons, William S. Smolenski, Joseph J. Smolenski Jr and. a grandson Shann Smolenski, and several brothers and sisters. Yolanda was born in Worcester daughter of the late Loreto and Anna (Ciccone) Tomasino and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of the David Hale Fanning Trade School. Yolanda worked as a stitcher for the MKM Company in Rochdale for many years before she retired. Yolanda was a founding member of St. Joan of Arc Church which she belonged to all her life. She enjoyed bowling,and trips to the casino, but most of all her time spent with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Yolanda's funeral will be held Wednesday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in St. Joan of Arc Church 570 Lincoln St. Calling hours in the funeral home are from 5-8PM on Tuesday.
