Reynold J. Woupio, 61, of Worcester, passed away in his home on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. He is survived by his three sons, Paul Woupio of Worcester, Kristopher Woupio of New York City and Eric Woupio of Paxton; a brother, Allen Woupio and his wife Diane of Northbridge; two sisters, Linda Cook and her husband David M. of Marlborough and Wendy Hendon and her husband Allen of Mendon; two nephews and two nieces, Michael and Lindsey Hendon, Amy Thibodeaux and Benjamin Woupio. He was predeceased by his father, Reynold J. Woupio; as well as by his mother and step-father, Emma (Archer) and Raymond Landry. He was born in Concord, Massachusetts and later graduated from Leominster Trade School. Upon his graduation, Rey served his nation proudly in the United States Navy. Reynold worked as a heating technician for many years, most recently with Petroleum Services of Worcester; having previously worked for Marane Oil and Peterson Oil. He had also owned the former Precision Mechanical Company in Worcester. He was very fond of New England sports teams and was a proud member of "Red Sox Nation". He enjoyed reading books of all genres and was very interested in history. His affection for the outdoors led him to make many visits to Maine and it's lakes region where he enjoyed camping. He also enjoyed cars of all types and had a great affection for the car he drove daily. A funeral service will be held Monday morning, May 10, at 10 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Ayer. Calling hours will be held Sunday, May 9, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
