Ellen Marie (DiGregorio) Carlberg, 60, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, a devoted daughter, sister and aunt, passed away Wednesday April 28th 2010. Ellen was born August 4, 1949, in Worcester, the daughter of Peter J. and Marie (DeGaetano) DiGregorio. Ellen is survived by her mother, Marie (DeGaetano) Rinaldi, and her stepfather Thomas P. Rinaldi, both who lived with her; a devoted brother, Joseph DiGregorio and his wife Carol of Holden; a nephew Jacob DiGregorio in Washington DC; many extended family and friends in Massachusetts, North Carolina and Florida. Ellen lived most of her life in Worcester, graduated from Doherty Memorial High School, and worked in the offices of the John.J. Nissen Company for many years. She moved to Rockwell, North Carolina where she owned and operated Larel Trucking Company before achieving her lifelong dream to live in Florida. She twice fought breast cancer and survived with incredible strength. Ellen enjoyed the beaches and sun of Florida, cruising the Caribbean and traveling, just recently returning from a trip to Israel and the holy land. She was an accomplished cook and beloved friend to so many. She cherished her family and especially her three dogs, Blackie, Daisy and Gabby. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Monday, May 3rd from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FIUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A service will follow at 7:00 pm. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
