Mary M. (Penny) St. Armand, 55, of Naples, Florida, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2010, in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. Mary is survived by her loving husband of twenty-eight years, Robert St. Armand; her father, Robert R. Penny, Sr. of Holland, MA; her mother in law, Anita St. Armand of Ft. Myers, Florida; five brothers, Robert R. Penny, Jr. of Auburn, Lt. Col. Stephen F. Penny, USMC-RET of Richlands, NC, John M. Penny of Friendswood, TX, Anthony T. Penny of Hopkins, SC and Richard C. Penny of Holland, MA; two sisters, Carol A. Houde of Worcester and Ann L. Severance of Worcester; a sister in law, Dianne (St. Armand) Gallen of San Diego; a brother in law, David St. Armand of North Carolina. Mary was blessed with twenty-one nieces and nephews, twelve great nieces and great nephews; along with countless friends all of whom came to know her contagious smile, loud laugh and passion for life. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Virginia (Migliozzi) Penny. She was a graduate of Worcester North High School, Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Worcester State College. Mary's exemplary nursing career spanned thirty-five years at Worcester City Hospital, University of Massachusetts Hospital in Worcester, Cape Cod Hospital and Physicians Regional Hospital in Naples, Florida. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 28, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, followed by a Memorial Service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
