Albert L. Manzi, 61, of Mashpee died peacefully Saturday March 27, 2010 in the Falmouth Hospital surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Albert is survived by his wife of 20 years Precy (Gutierrez)) Manzi, a son Anthony G. Manzi of the Phillipines, a sister Paula J. Manzi and her husband Mark Hattman of Mashpee, a daughter Julie Paladino of Worcester,one aunt Lillian Loughlin of Spencer, and many cousins and friends. Albie was born in Worcester son of the late Lucian and Antoinette (Scirpoli) Manzi and lived in Shrewsbury many years before moving to Mashpee. He was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School, and Fitchburg State College cum laude where he received his Bachelors Degree in Education. Albert worked as a Road Inspector for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority for many years before he retired due to his illness. He enjoyed being with his family and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Albert's funeral service will be held Monday at 10AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday from 9AM until the time of service. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
