Jennie Gibris

March 16, 1924 — April 6, 2010

Jennie (Korsak) Gibris, 86 of Woburn, formerly of Worcester and Shrewsbury, passed away, April 6, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family. Jennie's husband William R. Gibris passed away November 30, 1983. She is survived by two daughters, Loretta Parajeckas and her husband Paul of Woburn and Claudia Corcoran and her husband Thomas of Potomac, Maryland; a son, William B. Gibris and his wife Lynn of Laurel, Delaware; a brother Joseph Karosczka; 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased in death by a brother, E. David Kross and five sisters, Mary Bogigian, Josephine Dudek, Beatrice Lohnes, Helen Cook and Anna Altieri. Jennie was born in Worcester, the daughter of Bernard and Anna (Koziak) Korsak. She worked as a supervisor and inspector for Sem-Tec Inc. for 10 years before retiring in 1982. She was a member of Saint Anne's Church in Shrewsbury for 46 years. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, mosaic tiling but most of all she loved to cook and loved caring for her family. The funeral will be held Thursday, April 8th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, with a mass at 1:00 p.m. in Saint Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the funeral.
