Anna M. (Giorgio) Villatico, 84, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday morning, March 27, 2010, in her home with her loving family beside her. Her dear husband of sixty years, Arnold "Lefty" A. Villatico, Sr., predeceased her in June 2006. Anna is survived by her six loving children, Arnold "Arnie" A. Villatico Jr. and his wife Gina of Webster, Robert J. Villatico and his wife Sherry of Worcester, Paula F. Brophy and her husband Richard of North Grafton, Mary Ann Boisvert with whom she lived, Eileen "Ike" Grosse and her husband Hank of Shrewsbury, and Judy Antonucci and her husband Steve of Worcester. She also leaves a sister, Grace Donatelli of Auburn and eleven grandchildren, Matthew, Erin, Jason, Joey, Robert Jr., Rachelle, Randy, Rumney, Rayle, Ayla, and Michael. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Ariana, and five brothers and two sisters, Peter, Steve, Jerry, Joe and Jimmy, Antoinette Giorgio and Mary Peters. Anna was born in Worcester, daughter of Francesco and Rose (Tarmarro) Giorgio and has lived here all her life. Mrs. Villatico was an exceptional woman who focused on her family. Making their house a home and instilling upon her children and grandchildren the love and care that only a wife, mother and grandmother could provide. She could be seen working occasionally at her daughter's store, Ike's Den in Shrewsbury and had at one time worked for the former Maxtronics Corporation in Worcester. She was a currently a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Church, having been a member of the former Saint Margaret Mary Parish. She enjoyed knitting, reading, cooking, crosswords and other word games, playing cards with friends and BINGO. She will truly be missed. Calling hours for Anna will be held on Tuesday, March 30, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 31, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Church, 24 Mulberry Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
