Victor G. Montiverdi, 72, of Northboro passed away Thursday, March 25th 2010 with his beloved family at his side. Victor was born in Worcester, one of seven children born to Joseph A. and Virginia R. (Sposato) Montiverdi. He grew up in Worcester, attended Worcester public schools and has lived in Northboro for more than 20 years. Victor is survived by his four children; Cheryl Montiverdi-Shalhoub of Northboro, Sandi (Montiverdi) Samok of Torrington, CT, Traci (Montiverdi) Hendriks and her husband Patrick of Northbridge, Joseph A. Montiverdi and his wife Danielle of North Grafton, his former wife of 37 years Brenda (Fair) Montiverdi of Wayland, two brothers, Deacon Gerald Montiverdi of Worcester, Michael "Mickey" Montiverdi of Sutton, two sisters, Nancy Leary and Elaine Morrow both of Worcester. He is also survived by his five cherished grandchildren, Victoria "Tori" Shalhoub, Chester W. Samok III, Zachary and Reece Hendriks and Leelu Montiverdi; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Victor was predeceased by two infant sons, Victor Jr and Mark Montiverdi and two brothers, Vincent and Joseph Montiverdi. Victor worked in the trucking industry his entire career until he retired and then worked at Hannaford Supermarket in Marlboro. He was a member of St. Bernadette Church, the Northboro Lions Club and at onetime the Teamsters Local 170. Victors past times included golf, watching sports especially the Red Sox, and gardening. Most of all Victor enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. They were his inspiration, devotion and life's fulfillment. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Calling hours for friends and relatives will be Sunday, March 28th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester. Victor's funeral will be held Monday, March 29th at St. Bernadette's Church, 266 Main St., Northboro beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
