Marceleigh A. (Pratt) Craner, 82, of Worcester, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of fifty-two years, Carl D. Craner, predeceased her in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Craner and her partner, Denise Hamilton of Spencer; her "adopted grandson", Dylan Hamilton of Spencer; her loving companion, Co-Co; many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was also predeceased by two brothers and four sisters, Thomas and Phillip Pratt, Mary Larson, Wilhelmina Zollo, Angela Triola and Frances Cicio. Marceleigh was born in Kitzmiller, Maryland daughter of Pasquale and Anna (Aiello) Pratt. She graduated from Worcester Commerce High in 1945. She later married her beloved Carl and was afforded the opportunity to travel and to live throughout the world and the United States, as he was stationed in the Army. They lived in Oklahoma, Germany, South Carolina and Hawaii, before returning to Worcester in 1969 to retire from the military and raise their family. Marceleigh worked as a secretary in Washington D.C. as a young woman, then in the burn unit at the former Worcester City Hospital for many years, before she retired. She was a member of Our Lady of The Angels Church, and was active as a volunteer, most recently for the "Ranger Rosary Project" where volunteers gathered to make non-metallic rosary beads for our soldiers in other countries. She enjoyed yoga, square dancing, travel and old time Hollywood movies. Her greatest joy was her family and being surrounded by their love.
