Sylvia B Story

Sylvia B. (LaTour) Story, 89, of Cranston, Rhode Island, formerly of Worthington Avenue in Shrewsbury, MA, passed away, Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Summit Commons in Providence. Her husband, Harlan M. Story, predeceased her in 1990. Sylvia is survived by her son, Lynn G. Story of Hopkinton; three daughters, Frayer Murphy of Fountain Valley, California, Marcelle Boule of Uxbridge, and Wenonah L. Grazewicz of Cranston; a brother, Gary LaTour of Provo, Utah; a sister, Beverly Hall of Fountain Valley, California; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Malcolm LaTour and two sisters, Irene Mann and Phyllis Savoie. She was born in Auburn, MA daughter of the late Henri and Ruth Latour. She worked for many years as an assembler for the former Data General Corporation, before retiring in 1988. Calling hours for Sylvia will be held Tuesday morning, March 2, from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon, followed immediately by a funeral service at 12 in Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial donations made to Summit Commons 99 Hillside Avenue, Providence, RI 02906.
