Marcello D. Faiola, 41, of Auburn, passed away Thursday February 18th 2010, after suffering a cerebral vascular hemorrhage earlier in the week. Marcello is survived by his cherished wife and soul mate of 14 years, Linda J. (Rondeau) Faiola; a stepson, Michael P. Rondeau in California; his parents Albino Faiola and Louise B. (Duesberg) Faiola both of Worcester; an older brother, Marco A. Faiola, his wife Daniele and their children, Nicholas "Marcello's godson" , Dominic and Chiara all of Auburn; his younger brother Gino A. Faiola of Worcester; a half- sister, Jayne Gracom and her family in Washington State; Many aunts, uncles, cousins and a tremendous circle of friends who were a big part of his life. He grew up in Auburn, graduated from Worcester Vocational High School and Wentworth Institute and has lived in the area all his life. Marcello owned and operated Albino's Market on Belmont St. He previously worked for Bell & Howell Corporation before taking over the family business. Marcello was a loving devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, stepfather and friend. He had a generous and loving heart, and a gentle strength that continues to live on. A great sense of humor, a warm laugh and smile that will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Marcello enjoyed spending time with his wife and in the company of his family and friends. Marcello's funeral will be held Thursday, February 25th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL; 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Entombment will be in St. John Mausoleum. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Wednesday, February 24th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
