Joel A. Hagenmaier, 58 of Worcester, formerly of Dayton, Ohio passed away unexpectedly February 17, 2010 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center. He is survived by his devoted wife of 22 years, Carol (Gilfoy) Hagenmaier; two sons, Randy and Jason Hagenmaier of Troy, Ohio; a stepson, Sean Gilfoy and his wife Karen of Worcester; two sisters, Rebecca Dillinger and her husband Dan of Xenia, Ohio and Nancy Greschel and her husband Gary of Sun City Arizona; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Joel was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 17, 1951, son of Gordon and Georgia (Richardson). He has lived most of his life in Ohio, moving to Worcester in 2007. He was an Army Veteran. Joel worked in the trucking industry for most of his life most recently retiring from R & L Trucking. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR Racing, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 22nd from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A funeral service will be celebrated at 6:00 P.M.
