Carmela R Millett

Carmela R. (Giannuzzi) Millett of Worcester, passed away Monday, February 15, 2010 in Millbury Healthcare Center. She was born in Worcester on January 2, 1920, the daughter of Gaetano and Angelina (Croce) Giannuzzi. Her husband of fifty-three years, Richard H. Millett, died on November 24, 1993. She leaves her daughter, Joan Zaleski and her husband, John of Worcester; two grandsons, Michael Zaleski of Worcester and David Zaleski of Charlton; one great granddaughter, Isabella Zaleski of Charlton; a sister, Ernestine Swope of Carson, California; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Cross and by a sister, Lucy Grenier. Carmela worked for many years at the "Mart" on Main Street in Worcester. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed music, knitting and the Boston Red Sox. Special thanks to the staff at Millbury Health Care Center and Care Alternatives Hospice, for their outstanding care. As she wished, there are no calling hours. Entombment will be private at the convenience of the family. Donations in her name may be made to the Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
