Josephine "Giuseppa" (Fragasso) DeNittis, 89, "The Clover Lady" passed away Sunday, February 14th 2010 in her home with family by her side. Josephine's husband Michael DeNittis passed away July 12, 1977. She is survived by her devoted children, Matthew DeNittis his wife Santa of Sutton, Angelo DeNittis his wife Linda of Winterville NC, John DeNittis his wife Judy of Princeton, Lucia Maria "Mary Lou" Marshall and her husband Jay of Warwick RI and Rita Bourdeau of Tampa Florida; A sister, Lillian Bisceglia of Worcester; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews in the U.S. and Italy. Josephine was born in Mattinata, province of Foggia Italy, a daughter of Michael and Angelina (Prencipe) Fragasso. She grew up and lived in Italy until coming to this country in 1956. Josephine was a member of Holy Family Parish-St Joseph Church and was actively involved in keeping it open in the 1990's. She volunteered her time at St. Francis Home. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting and crocheting. She acquired her nickname "Clover Lady" for all the green clover's she crocheted and gave to people. Most of all she cherished her family.
