Louisa F. (Chianese) Caprioli, 79, of Worcester died peacefully Wednesday February 10, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 44 years John N. Caprioli, two sons John A. Caprioli of Worcester, and Richard Caprioli and his wife Marie of Worcester, one daughter Christine Carmody and her husband John of Oxford, four grandchildren; Thomas, Michael, John, and Christopher, and a great granddaughter Isabella. Also mourning her loss is her brother Pasquale Chianese and his wife Agnes of Auburn, and two sisters Frances Pellegrino and Mary Gamache both of Worcester, and many nephews and nieces. Louisa was born in Worcester daughter of the late John and Antimina (Mozzillo) Chianese and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of the David Hale Fanning Trade School Worcester. Louisa worked for the Worcester School Department for many years as a Crossing Guard, and also worked for the R. J. Toomey Company . Louisa was a long time member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church, The Worcester Senior Center, and the Circle of Friends Club. She loved to do Ceramics, and enjoyed sewing , quilting, and spending time with family especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Louisa's funeral will be held Tuesday morning from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church 24 Mulberry St. A period of visiting hours will be held from 8:30AM to 10:30AM in the funeral home prior to leaving for church. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
