Barbara Ann Morawski

Barbara Ann (Roslund) Morawski, 81, of Auburn formerly of Worcester passed away peacefully, February 5th 2010 with family at her side. Barbara's husband Edmund Morawski passed away in 1997. She is survived by, Her daughter Sharon Mallozzi and her husband Peter of Leicester; A son John Morawski and wife Laurie of Palmdale, California; Six grandchildren, Jillian,Jaclyn,Heather,Jesse,Michael and John; Two great grandchildren, Anthony and Cali; Three sisters, Theresa Bagdis, Dolores Matczak, and Beverly Bankit all of Worcester; an Aunt Genevieve Janiszewski of Worcester; many nephews, nieces and friends. a son, Joseph passed away at birth. Barbara was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Harold and Sophie (Janiszewski) Roslund. She graduated from Worcester Girls Trade High and lived in Worcester, Spencer and Auburn. Barbara worked as a full time Nanny caring for the many elderly and children in the Worcester area. She also worked for Maurice the Pants Man many yrs, Roberts of Parril and Vicco Shoes and the Woman's Auxiliary at the Polish American Veterans Club. At one time Barbara also worked for Cornel Dublier. Barbara was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren, Anthony and Cali. Barbara also enjoyed the time she spent with her friends, playing cards. The funeral will be held Wednesday, February 10th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held from 9 am to 10 am in the funeral home Wednesday February 10th. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave Ste 2, Norwood, MA, 02062-5040. The Mallozzi and Morawski family would like to thank the Nurses and staff of Life Care Center of Auburn for the exceptional care and compassion they gave to our mother.
