Vincent "Jim" Nozzolillo, 79 of Worcester formerly of Everard Street passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 3rd 2010 with family by his side. Vincent was born in Worcester a son of Victor and Josephine (Biando) Nozzolillo. He attended Worcester Public Schools, entered the U.S.Army to serve his country during the Korean Conflict and has lived here all his life. He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years Esther (Santa Maria) Nozzolillo; four sons, Victor and Vincent Nozzolillo of Worcester, James Nozzolillo and his wife Elaine of Millbury, Mark Nozzolillo and his wife Anne of Thompson CT.; six cherished grandchildren, James, Jared, Miles and Dallas Nozzolillo, Talon and Quinton Asquith; a great grandson, Quinton Noah Asquith; one brother, Patrick "Pat" Nozzolillo of Grafton ; a sister Emily Bourassa of Brimfield; many nieces, nephews and friends. A brother, Joseph Nozzolillo Sr. and a sister Marion Dube both pre deceased him. Jim worked as a custodian for the City of Worcester School Department at North High School many years before retiring. Previously he worked for the Ashworth Brothers Corporation. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, The Eastside Post 201 American Legion and at one time a member of the Italian American Drum and Bugle Corps. Vincent enjoyed Hockey and Football. He especially enjoyed his family, their company, companionship and inspiration. They were his life's enjoyment. They will very much miss him. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Friday, February 5th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 6th from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in St John Cemetery.
