James R. Ross, 57, of Worcester, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in UMass Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Irene (Berthiaume) Ross; a son, Aaron M. Ross of Westborough; a daughter, Andrea M. Kassouf and her husband Salim of Saudi Arabia; his mother, Helen M. (Duncan) Ross of Worcester; a brother, Daniel Ross of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; three sisters, Donna M. Argento of Shrewsbury, Cynthia Carlisle of Worcester and Theresa Melkonian of Plymouth; two grandchildren, Meredith and Elias Kassouf; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Ross was born in Portland, Maine son of the late Harry Ross. James was working as a carpenter for many years, both self employed and for various construction companies and builders. He enjoyed music and was an accomplished drummer. Calling hours will be held Sunday, December 27, in MERCADANTE FUNERLA HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., concluding with a Memorial Service at 5 p.m. in the funeral home.
