Jean DiGregorio

Jean (Hoitlink) DiGregorio, 74, of Worcester, passed away Friday, December 18th 2009 with family at her side after a brief illness. Jean's husband of 43 years, Albert E. DiGregorio, Sr. passed away in 1999. She is survived by four children, Joseph A. DiGregorio and his wife Kathleen, Mary Jordan, Rose Coffey and her husband Michael (Whom Jean thought of as a son), all of Worcester, Anthony J. DiGregorio and his partner Ken Willard of Ft Myers Florida; five cherished grandchildren, Albert DiGregorio, III, Angela Germain and her husband Thomas, Patrick DiGregorio , Lisa Markiewicz, and Benjamin DiGregorio and his fiancée Phi; four great grandchildren, Brenden, Kayli Ann, Joseph Thai and Addison; Many nieces, nephews and friends. Two sons, James A. DiGregorio, passed away in February of 2007 and Albert DiGregorio Jr. passed away August 28th of this year. She was born here in Worcester, her mother was the late Marion (Daigle) Carpenter and she has lived here all her life. Jean was a former member of St Margaret Mary Church. She enjoyed knitting and crochet. Her greatest enjoyment came for the devotion of her family. Her children and grandchildren. Their love for and compassion to her brought her inspiration. Funeral services will b e held Wednesday, December 23rd at 11:30 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family; Tuesday, December 22nd from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
