Andrew S Baranauskas

Andrew S. "The Baran" Baranauskas, 89 of Worcester passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 16th 2009 with family at his side. Andrew was born November 13th, 1920, in Worcester, the son of Andrew and Vincenta (Marcisewska) Baranauskas. He graduated from Commerce High School, entered the U.S. Army prior to World War II, and served his country proudly until 1945 earning several medals and participating in several battles before returning to Worcester. Andrew then worked many years in various positions for the Mass Electric Company before retiring in 1981. He enjoyed walking and reading. Andrew is survived by many nieces and nephews including, Elaine Simone and Stephanie Fenneuf, his principal caregivers. He was predeceased by his sisters, Louise Simone ( June 2009) and Stephanie Lettic (December 1966). Funeral services and burial in Notre Dame Cemetery will be private. There are no calling hours.
