Antionette "Toni" (Villatico) Zompetti, 77, of Shrewsbury Crossing, formerly of Worcester passed away with her family by her side, Saturday, December 12th 2009 after a long battle with illness. Toni's husband, of 34 years, Louis L. Zompetti Sr. passed away on January 15th, 1994. She leaves her devoted children; Doreen Condry and her husband Michael Bernard, Marco Anthony Zompetti and his wife Tracey Ann, and Louis Lawrence Zompetti Jr. and his wife Cheryl Ann; She also leaves four cherished grandchildren; grandsons: Tyler Michael and Joshua James and twin granddaughters Tianna Marie and Nichole Ann: sisters and brothers in law, Anna Villatico, Frances Villatico, James Cashman Sr., Peter A. Zompetti, Jessie Summers, Tootsie and Leo Troio; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister Vincenza Cashman and her brothers Arnold and Virgil Villatico. Toni was born February 17th 1932, a daughter of the late, Armendo and Olympia (Pastore) Villatico. She graduated from Commerce High School, lived most of her life in Worcester before moving to Shrewsbury 5 years ago. She began her working career as a bookkeeper at Bancroft Motor and Charles Chevrolet, and Chicago Beef all of Worcester MA. At one time she worked for Scano's Bakery. But most enjoyable times were the 30 years as "Auntie Toni" working as a bookkeeper, sales person, and seamstress for her niece Eileen Grosse at Ike's Den of Shrewsbury MA. Toni also worked numerous hours at the Heart Association and counted votes for the polls in the Worcester area. She was a member and Eucharist minister, longtime choir member and Charismatic Ministry member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She was a member of it's Our Lady of Sorrows and Golden Years organizations. Later in life, she handmade dolls for Children's Hospital Boston for the cardiology patients and was a greeter for Shrewsbury Crossing Assisted Living where she resided for 5 years. Over the years, Toni enjoyed singing, dancing, cooking , entertaining, card games and celebrating life. Her greatest joys were spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She loved clothes and fashion. Most of all "Toni" touched the hearts of many. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, December 16th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from the funeral home Thursday, December 17th with a Mass at 11 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum.
