Joseph W. Kwiatkowski, 84, of Worcester passed away Friday, December 11th 2009 in his home with his family at his side. Joe is survived by his devoted wife and partner of 61 years, Theresa M. (Ritacco) Kwiatkowski; his beloved two daughters, Theresa Conte-McGee, MaryAnn Ritacco and her husband Gianfranco all of Worcester; five grandchildren, Karin Conte and her partner Diedra Finney, Anthony Conte and his wife Francesca, Pino Ritacco and his wife Jamie, Stefano Ritacco and Maria Ritacco; four great grandchildren, Mia, Alessandro, Gabriella and Gianni; nieces, nephews and extended family. A grandson, Joseph McGee passed away in November 2008, and seven siblings Matthew, Vincent, Stanley, Peter, Felix and Francis Kwiatkowski and Nellie Sawa all predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, a son of Leopold and Mary (Mocarski) Kwiatkowski and has lived here all his life. Joe worked many years as a Route driver for Purolator Courier before retiring. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, the Polish Falcons of America and the Arcadia/White Eagle Club. Joe was also an avid candlepin bowler and member of the Polish American Sportsman league. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, He would always be there to help anyone who needed it. We will miss his sense of humor and his dedication to his family. The funeral will be held Tuesday, December 15th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Monday, December 14th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the funeral home.
