Louis J. Ferrantino, Jr. 68, of Barre, formerly of Worcester, died peacefully Wednesday December 2, 2009 in the UMASS Medical Center after an illness. Louis is survived by his loving family; two daughters Theresa M. McManaman of Shrewsbury, and Tina Ferrantino of Norwood, eight grandchildren, Edward Jr., Brian, Ashley, Alexis, Kyle, Travis, Victoria, and Norman, and also his great friend Gloria. Louis was born in Worcester son of the late Louis Sr. and Rose (Guerra) Ferrantino and lived in Worcester most of his life before moving to Barre. He attended Worcester Public Schools. Louis worked at the Worcester State Hospital as a Locksmith for over 35 years before he retired. He was a former member of the Worcester Lodge Of Elks. Louis was an accomplished Artist working in Acrylics, many of his paintings he would give to his family and friends. He also was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed woodworking, puttering around his house, and being with his family. He will be missed by his family and friends. The funeral for Louis will be held Wednesday December 9, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in St. Anne's Church 130 Boston Turnpike. Calling hours in the funeral home will be from 5-8PM on Tuesday. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
