Jane J. Lapolito

Jane J. (Giorgio) Lapolito, 68, of Worcester,died peacefully Tuesday November 24,2009 in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family.Her husband Maurice A. Lapolito died in 2000. Jane is survived by two sons; Anthony F. Lapolito and his wife Elizabeth of Grafton, Joseph M. Lapolito and his wife Julie of Worcester,a daughter Gina M. Lowe and her husband Bryan of Alameida California, five grandchildren; Tristan Hixon, Quintin Lapolito, Isabella and Frank Lapolito, and Ava Lowe. Jane also leaves two brothers Louis and Nicola Rocco Lapolito both of Florida, and a sister Lucy Hopkins of Worcester, many nephews and nieces. Jane was born in Worcester daughter of the late Domenico and Felicia (Urssillo)Giorgio and lived here all her life.She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Jane was the manager at St. Stephens Thrift Shop for thirty years, and was a talented cake decorator for several Worcester bakeries. Jane was a long time member of St Stephens Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking,Antiquing,going to the beach,and a good day at the Casino, but her most precious times were those spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Jane's funeral will be held Saturday November 28th, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in St. Stephens Church 357 Grafton St. Calling hours in the funeral home are from 5-8PM on Friday, interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery. Flowers may be sent or contributions made to a charity of your choice.
