Peter Arena

Peter Arena, 91, of Shrewsbury died peacefully Monday November 16, 2009 at home with his family. His wife Mary A. (Pedone) Arena died in 1994. Peter is survived by his loving family; three sons, Peter F. Arena and his wife Sherry of Virginia, John D. Arena of Riverside, R.I. and Wayne D. Arena of Sterling, a brother Alfred Arena and his wife Peggy of Shrewsbury, and four grandchildren, Andrew, David, Sarah, and Christine, and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother Michael Arena and a sister Rose Giorgio. Peter was born in Worcester son of the Late Anibel and Anna (Ricciardi) Arena and has lived in Shrewsbury since 1956. He was a graduate of North High School, and was a WW11 Army veteran serving with the 817th Air Engineering Squadron. Peter was the Manager of the parts department at the Dario Deisel Company for 30 years before he retired. He was a former member of St. Mary's Church in Shrewsbury. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A private funeral and interment in St Johns Cemetery will be held at the families convenience. There are no calling hours.
