Lena Chioda

Lena (Mastrototoro) Chioda, 82, of Worcester formerly of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away Monday, November 16th 2009 in the University of Massachusetts Hospital with her family by her side. Lena's husband Angelo Chioda passed away in 1995. A daughter, Lorna R. Manzi passed away May 2, 2003. She is survived by her devoted son, Steven P. Chioda and his wife Donna of Auburn; a sister, Rose Zannotti of Shrewsbury; four grandchildren, Steven Angelo, Nicole, Brian and Leanne; six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Peter Mastrototoro Sr. and Domenic "Dimo" Mastrototoro pre deceased her. Lena was born in Worcester, a daughter of Leonard and Angelina (DiBennedetto) Mastrototoro; She lived in Worcester before moving to Boynton Beach, Florida for five years before returning here in 2000. Lena was a quiet, simple woman who cherished her children, grandchildren and family. She will be missed. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 19th at 11:00 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Wednesday November 18th from 5 pm to 8 pm. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
