Eleanor E. (Bergman) Liseno, 81, of Worcester, passed away Friday, November 13th, 2009 surrounded by her family in Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Eleanor was born in Worcester, July 8th 1928, the eldest of four children of Carl and Anna (Anderson) Bergman. She grew up in Shrewsbury, graduated from Shrewsbury High School and has lived in Worcester most of her life. Eleanor worked for State Mutual/Hanover Insurance as an underwriter many years before retiring in 1992. Eleanor's husband of 56 years Michael Liseno passed away May 27th of this year; She is survived by her devoted daughters, Linda M. Boucher and her husband, David of Hubbardston, and Susan A. Gillis, of Worcester; five cherished and loving grandchildren, Kristin and Matthew Boucher, Laura, John, and Stephanie Gillis; a great granddaughter Laci Gillis; a sister Shyrley Greenslit and a brother Richard Bergman; many nieces, nephews and friends. A brother, Carl S. Bergman predeceased her. As a young woman Eleanor was very athletic, enjoying skiing, tennis, roller skating and bowling. One of her greatest joys was her family and being surrounded by them. She was a member the Froshinn Club and the 25 year club of Hanover Insurance. Funeral services for Eleanor will be held Wednesday, November 18th at 11 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will be private. Friends and Relatives are invited to visit with the family Tuesday, Nov. 17th from 4 to 7 pm in the funeral home.
