Gina M. Lopolito-Main, 50, of Quincy, formerly of Worcester, passed away Thursday, November 12th 2009 at the Quincy Medical Center, with family and friends by her side. Gina leaves her husband, soulmate and best friend Robin Main; her father, Pasquale F. Lopolito of Worcester; her sister, Mary Khederian and her husband Greg of Westford; nephew and niece Paul and Amy Khederian; a brother- and sister-in-law Bill and Dr. Monica Main of Scotland; nephew and niece Robert and Jenny Main; uncles and aunts Robert and Suzanne DiCicco of Shrewsbury, Paul and Diane DiCicco of Millbury; and Grace Simone of Worcester; close family friends Richard and Phyllis Canzano of Cape Coral, Florida; loving cousins; and many friends around the world. Gina was born in Worcester, September 1, 1959 , beloved daughter of Pasquale F. and the late Norma F. (DiCicco) Lopolito. She graduated from St Peter Marian High School in 1977, and earned her degree cum laude from Nichols College in 1981 with a double major of Accounting and Finance. Upon graduation, Gina took a position as an Auditor with the Department of Defense for the next 28 years. She held three positions during her carreer with the DOD, most recently with the Office of Naval Research. Gina's job took her and her husband Robin around the world, allowing them to experience many wonderful places together. She recently moved back from High Wycombe, U.K. after living abroad for five years. Gina had a love of life, especially travel with Robin, fine dining, visiting stately homes, antiquing, the ballet and cinema, and playing cards. Her most enjoyable times were spent with her husband, family, and especially her friends. They were her true life's inspiration. Gina's funeral will be held Tuesday, November 17th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Monday, November 16th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the MERCADANTE funeral home.
