Mary Morocco

Mary F. "Bunny" Morocco, 87, formerly of 15 Lyon St. passed away Tuesday, November 10th 2009 in the Beaumont at University Commons. Bunny is survived by her nieces Yole Morocco-Foley of Winthrop and Judith Morocco of Las Vegas both of whom she raised, Annette Farley of Holden and John Ciccarelli of Amherst and many nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews. Five brothers and sisters, Josephine Franchi, Rose Ciccarelli, Frank, Samuel and Anthony Morocco all pre deceased her. Bunny was born in Worcester, her parents were the late Gianbattista and Antoinette (Mirante) Muraca, she graduated from Commerce High class of 1940 and has lived here all her life. Bunny was a quiet, simple and gentle woman whose life revolved around her family and friends. She cherished being with them and enjoyed all the special times they had. She will be missed. Bunny worked more than 34 years for the New England Power Company before retiring in 1994. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church; it's golden years and Ladies Guild. Bunny's funeral will be held Saturday, November 14th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a Mass at 11:30 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery. A period of visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the funeral.
