Rita Limoli

Rita (Morello) Limoli, 89, formerly of 50 Shrewsbury St. passed away peacefully Monday, November 9th 2009 in the home of her daughter in Merrimack, NH. Rita graduated from Worcester's Commerce High, class of 1939. A loving mother and homemaker, Rita also worked outside the home at Graton & Knight Co. and Saddlemaker/Davey's. She had a witty sense of humor and truly enjoyed spending time with her large extended family. Along with her sisters, Rita hosted numerous holiday feasts at 6 Norfolk Street, highlights of the year for family and friends. Rita was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, its Golden Years Organization, and The Beato Angelo de Arci Society. Rita and her husband Joseph "Spitz" Limoli shared nearly 50 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1995. She is survived by her four children, Joseph Limoli, Jr. and his wife Linda of Worcester, Peg Stevens and her husband Jeff Baum of Houston Texas, Jack Limoli and his wife Kathy Cea of Lakewood Colorado, and Martha Boissonneault and her husband Bob of Merrimack New Hampshire; a brother, Robert Morello of Shrewsbury; a sister, Mary Raymond of Worcester; three grandchildren, Jay Limoli and his wife Maria; Amanda Stevens and John Limoli; many nieces and nephews. Three brothers and two sisters, Joseph, John and Michael Morello, Helen Esip and Julia Scalzo all pre-deceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter to Michael and Christina (Scarcello) Morello and lived in Worcester all her life before moving to Merrimack NH to live with her daughter. The funeral will be held Friday, November 13th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Thursday, November 12th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Members of the Beato Angelo de Arci will meet at 6 pm in the funeral home to conduct their ritual. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church renovation fund or to Home, Health & Hospice Care, 80 Continental Boulevard, Merrimack, NH 03054.
