Samuel J. Paldino, 81, of Worcester, President of Paldino Brothers Construction Company passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2009 in Saint Vincent Hospital after a period of falling health. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Carmella (Maffei) Paldino; two sons, John M. Paldino of Worcester and James R. Paldino and his wife Diane of Worcester; three brothers Peter Paldino, Anthony Paldino ad Donald Paldino all from Worcester; four sisters, Louise Riopel of Worcester, Dorothy Lizotte of Grafton, Bernadette Genatossio of Shrewsbury and Carolann Tessier of Worcester; four grandchildren, Deanna, Michael, Matthew and Steven Paldino all of Worcester and a great-granddaughter, Ava Marie Stankus. Samuel was born in Worcester, son of the late Pasquale and Mary (Generelli) Paldino and has lived in Worcester all his life. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade. He served his nation proudly in the United States Navy as a member of the elite Sea B unit. He was a member of the Disabled American Veteran's organization and the Brown Square Civic Club. During his later years he enjoyed his winters traveling to his Florida home and his summers in Worcester. Mr. Paldino's funeral will be held Saturday, October 17th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Relatives and friends are warmly invited to visit with the family on Friday, October 16th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
