Carol M. Abraham

Carol M. (Lombardi) Abraham, 66 a lifelong resident of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, October 10, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years Robert P. Abraham; and her devoted daughter Kelly Abraham, both of Shrewsbury; cousins, friends and extended family. Carol was born in Worcester; the daughter of Arthur J. Lombardi who passed away in 1985 and Mary A. (Davolio) Lombardi who passed away this past July. She graduated from Shrewsbury High School and had a career as a hair stylist. Her occupation however did not in any way define her. She was accomplished with arts and crafts, decorating her home and others, with wonderful decorations that she had created. Carol had a great love of music which came from her dad. She was a terrific cook and exhibited a tremendous sense of family. Carol led her family and extended family through wit, personality and inner strength. She had a way to instantly make strangers feel like friends and all her friends feel like family. Carol's funeral will be held Thursday, October 15th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL; 370 Plantation St with a Mass at 12:00 noon in the Church of St. Anne, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd. Burial will follow in Mt View Cemetery. A period of visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
