Lawrence E. Sironen, 55 of Worcester, passed away Saturday, October 10th 2009 in his home with his wife by his side. Larry was born in the Dorchester section of Boston, on July 8, 1954. He grew up in Dorchester, moved to Framingham at the age of 16, he then married his wife and moved to Worcester 12 years ago. Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 12 years Nancy Prentiss; his mother, Evelyn (Graves) Sironen of Framingham, a brother, Ronald Sironen of Bridgewater; three sisters, Louise Dirksmeier of Braintree, Carol Greene and her husband Walter of Cape Neddick, Me. And Linda Sironen and her husband Frank Uttaro of Sudbury; nieces, nephews, in laws and many friends. His father was the late Eino Sironen. Larry worked for the TJX Company's at the Worcester Warehouse for many years and was still there at the time of his illness. Larry's interests and likes included playing the guitar, snorkeling, diving, hiking and camping. Larry's funeral will be held Thursday, October 15th from The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a mass at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Friends, relatives and co workers are invited to visit with the family, Wednesday, October 14th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
