Angelina A. (Baldino) David, 88, of 50 Shrewsbury St. formerly of 2 Wilson St. passed away Wednesday October 7th 2009 with her son by her side. Angie was born November 11th 1920, one of eight children of Domenic and Aurelia (Amoruso) Baldino. She grew up in the Italian Section of Worcester Shrewsbury St. met and married her late husband of 60 years, George David who passed away in 2000. Together they had two sons and raised them to honor and cherish their family and Italian Heritage. Angie is survived by her devoted son, Alan David of Worcester; her daughter in law Joyce David of Grafton; a brother, Carlo Baldino and a sister, Caroline DePari both of Worcester; her three adored grandchildren Mark, Steven and Lauren; three cherished great grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew and Charlie; her former daughter in law, Pamela Braverman of Shrewsbury; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A son, Ronald David, three sisters, Mary Simone, Philomena Pacheco, and Grace Caprioli, and two brothers, Maurice and Frank Baldino all pre deceased her. Angie worked over 7 years for the University Of Massachusetts Hospital before retiring. She previously worked as a stitcher for various manufacturing companies. Angie was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, the Golden Years, Our Lady of Sorrows, the Amalgamated Garment Workers Union and the former Maria SS Addelorata Society. She was also a dedicated Red Sox fan. Angie was known on Shrewsbury Street where she spent her entire life as the "Cookie Lady" because of her willingness to bake cookies for anybody, anytime and for any occasion. The funeral will be held Friday, October 9th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL; 370 Plantation St. with a mass at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt Carmel-St Ann Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial next to her husband will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Thursday, October 8th from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
