Patsy M. Russo, 86, of Worcester died peacefully Monday October 5, 2009 in the UMASS Memorial Hospital, Belmont St. surrounded by his loving family. Patsy's wife Mary died in 2002.He is survived by two daughters; Cynthia J. Russo, and Kathy Rodrigues and her husband Peter, all of Worcester, a brother Ralph Russo and his wife Tina of West Boylston, and two sisters, Marguerite "Lill" Laconte and her husband Carmen, and Mary Cuiffredo all of Worcester, nephews nieces, a special niece Ann Weagle, and his canine companion Ebony. He was predeceased by two brothers Frank and Samuel Russo,and two sisters, Maria Carilo, and Grace Lorusso, Patsy was born in Worcester son of the late Michael and Angelina (Torresi) Lorusso and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade School. He was a Navy Veteran ofWW11. Patsy worked as a Machinist for Worcester Pressed Steel Company retiring in 1966 due to an injury at work. He was a member of St Joan Of Arc Church, and the Disabled American Veterans. Patsy was a skilled auto mechanic, and enjoyed fixing things, and working around his house, but most of all being with his family. He will be missed by his family and friends. The funeral for Patsy will be held Friday Oct. 9, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM In St Joan Of Arc Church 570 Lincoln St. A calling hour in the funeral home will be from 9:30AM To 10:30AM.prior to leaving for church.
