James G. Don Francisco, 54, of Worcester died unexpectedly and peacefully September 29, 2009 in the UMASS Memorial Hospital Belmont St. "Jimmy" is survived by his devoted family; his father, Pasquale "Pat" Don Francisco, of Worcester, a brother Perry Don Francisco and his wife Dianna, his nieces Christine and Dia Don Francisco, a nephew Peter Don Francisco, aunts and uncles James Don Francisco and his wife Elaine, Josephine Tamburro, his godmother, and Camilla Chartier and her husband Edward, George Ruggieri, his godfather and many cousins. His aunt Donna Ruggieri predeceased him. James was born in Worcester son of the late Christine (Ruggieri) Don Francisco and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Burncoat Senior High School, and Worcester State College. James worked for the Commonwealth Of Massachusetts as a Tax Examiner for the Department of Revenue for many years. Previous to that he was a manager at the former Chess King Clothing Company. He was a long time member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel-St Ann Church, and a devoted attendant of the Miraculous Medal Novena. Jimmy was an avid sports fan, particularly boxing, announcing the events in his own version. He was a sharp dresser, enjoying the music of Frank Sinatra while socializing over a cup of espresso. But most of all enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of the Hermitage Nursing Center for their unending love, support and care, and Msgr. Rocco Piccolomini for his spiritual and helpful visits. Jimmy's funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 2, at 11:30AM in Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church, 24 Mulberry St. There are no calling hours. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Please omit flowers.
