Patricia E. Crowley

Patricia E. (Hunt) Crowley, 81, of Worcester died peacefully Sunday September 27, 2009 surrounded by her loving family in the Christopher House. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Michael F. Crowley, two sons; Thomas and James Crowley of Worcester, three daughters; Catherine Testa and her husband Michael, of Worcester, Paula Bovenzi and her husband Michael of Worcester, and Maureen McKnight and her husband Lee of North Carolina. Also a sister Agnes Marquis of St. John New Brunswick, and ten grandchildren; Marcy, Lisa, John, Christopher, Ryan, Sean, Brian, Michaela, Amanda and Michael, several nephews and nieces. Patricia was predeceased by a daughter Mary Patricia Crowley, and two brothers David J. Hunt and Major Philip F. Hunt. Patricia was born in St. John New Brunswick, Canada daughter of the late Philip and Mary ( Keleher) Hunt, and came to Worcester in 1953. She was a graduate of St. Vincent High School and Mount Carmel Academy in New Brunswick. Patricia worked as a Nurses Aide for many years at the Blair House before she retired. She was a long time member of St. Stephens Church. Patricia enjoyed reading, cooking and loved being with her family. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Katherine Edminston and also the entire staff of the Christopher House for their care and concern during Patricia's stay there. Patricia's funeral will be held Wednesday September 30, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St.with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in St. Stephens Church 357 Grafton St.Calling hours in the funeral home are from 5-8PM Tuesday (tonight). Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Levine Center in care of UMASS Memorial Foundation 333 South Street Shrewsbury MA. 01545.
