Edward W. Lee, 81, of Worcester died peacefully Saturday September 12, 2009 in the Golden Living Center-Hermitage surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Jill P. (Buduski) Lee, his children; Edward W. Lee Jr. Robert E. Lee, Michael A. Lee, Christian E. Lee, Karen Lee, and Vanessa A. Lee. Eight grandchildren, Sara, Michael, Matthew, Michael, Jordan, Christian, Levi, and Nalina, and several nephews and nieces. A sister Shirley Lee predeceased him. Edward was born in Worcester on January 13, 1928 son of the late Edward T. and Anna (Frost) Lee, and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade School. He was a WWll Navy veteran, serving on the USS Bennington. He received a Asiatic Pacific Medal with 3 Stars. Edward was a long time member and truck driver for the Local Teamsters Union # 170, before he retired, and previous to that worked many years for the Rand Whitney Corporation. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, boating, and most of all being with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Edwards funeral will be held Thursday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00AM in Our Lady Of Good Counsel Church 111 Worcester, St. West Boylston. Calling hours in the funeral home are from 5-8PM on Wednesday.
