Virginia R. (Kazarian) Kabadaian, 96, of Worcester, died peacefully Sunday August 2, 2009 in the Parsons Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Her husband Edward Kabadaian died in 1981. Virginia is survived by her loving family; two sons Edward Kabadian and his wife Klara of Marblehead, George Kabadian and his wife Irene of Holden, three grandchildren Kimberly Wright, Melissa Kabadian and Julianne Stratton, two great granddaughters Angelina and Sophia. She was predeceased by a brother Haig Kazarian. Virginia was born in Worcester daughter of the late Krikor and Agavni (Sahagian) Kazarian and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of the David Hale Fanning Worcester Girls Trade School.and also taught sewing there. Virginia was a gifted seamstress and owned her own Dress Shop on Front St. for many years before she retired.Virginia enjoyed being with her family and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was a long time member of the Armenian Church Of Our Saviour. Virginia's funeral will be held Thursday August 6, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a service at 11:30AM in the Armenian Church of Our Saviour 87 Salisbury St. A calling hour will be held Thursday morning only from 10AM to 11AM in the funeral home. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Virginia may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour 87 Salisbury St. Worcester MA. 01609.
