John F. Donahue, III, 50, of Worcester passed away Sunday, July 19th 2009 in his home after a long battle with diabetes and kidney disease. John is survived by his daughter, Kelly M. Donahue of Worcester; his mother and father, Dolores (Galantino) and James Entwistle of Worcester; a sister, Maureen D. Cross in California and a niece Jacqueline Cross; Aunts, Uncles, cousins and a host of friends. John was born in Worcester, graduated from St. John High School, attended Central New England College and received his HV/AC engineering degree from Northeastern University and American Institute of technology. John worked as a mechanical engineer in HV/AC installation for AAlanco Company for nine years. He also previously worked for other area companies in HV/AC. John was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church, and the Brown Square Civic Association and The national Association Power of Engineers. He enjoyed motorcycles and animals, especially his cat "Lucky 2." He also was a sports enthusiast, a Red Sox and Patriots season ticket holder for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends particularly having long conversions about various topics and loved playing his guitar. He will be sadly missed by everyone. The funeral will be held Friday, July 24th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Thursday, July 23rd from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
