Stella H. (Lelis) D'Eramo, 79, formerly of 69 Alvarado Ave. and St. Francis Home passed away peacefully, Sunday, July, 19th 2009 in the Holy Trinity Nursing Home, Worcester. Stella was born in Haverhill, MA on February 13, 1930, the daughter of Kasper and Aniela (Krafton) Lelis. Stella was married to Francesco (Frank) D'Eramo, on June 28, 1953 in Haverhill, MA. Frank & Stella celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2003; before her husband Frank predeceased her in 2007. Stella grew up in Haverhill, MA and graduated from Haverhill High school. She worked in her family business where she and her bothers formed a family cleaning business out of their home which eventually grew to two successful cleaning businesses "Yankee Cleaners" and "Ideal Cleaners". When she married, Stella moved to Worcester where she worked at White Cleaners and Seven Sisters Company for many years. Stella is survived by her three sons, Frank A. and his wife Marcia of Webster; Dennis N. and his wife Kathleen and Ronald P. and his wife Deborah both of Worcester. Stella leaves a brother Anthony and his wife Mildred of Haverhill; sister-in-laws Concetta D'Eramo of Pescara, Italy and Genevieve Lelis of New Hampshire. She leaves eight grandchildren: Matthew, Gina, Amy, Christine, Julianne and Lisa D'Eramo and Matthew & Melissa Drainville. Stella is predeceased by her parents and her two brothers Walter & Albert. She leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins and a special cousin Maria Ranalli. Stella will fondly be remembered for her home specialty meals and creative craft skills. Stella was a big sports fan and will always be remembered supporting her children at all their sporting events. Stella especially loved her trips to the casino and the ocean, Salisbury & Hampton beach. Stella was also fluent in three languages and one of her most memorable moments was being blessed by Pope John Paul II during one of her trips to Italy. Stella was a member of St. Margaret Mary parish until its closing. Stella will be warmly and lovingly missed by her family and friends and always remembered by all who knew her. The funeral will be held Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Christopher's Church, 950 West Boylston St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Friends and relatives are invited to Calling hours, Tuesday, July 21st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
