Rose M. (Ferraro) Canzano, 87, of Worcester, returned home to the Lord, Thursday, July 16th 2009 in St. Vincent Hospital with her family by her side. Rose is survived by her devoted husband and partner of 68 years John J. Canzano, Sr.; a son, John J. "Jack" Canzano, Jr. , his wife Gertrude and their children, Maria Duva, Cheryl Kotsopoulos, and Barbara Peters, two daughters, Jean M. Makunas, her husband John and their children, John Matthew Markunas and Janice M. LePrevost ; Diane M. Toomey, her husband Charles and their children, Lisa Normandin, Lori Keenan and Joseph DePaoli; Her sister whom she cherished, Anne L. Morrone; 17 great grandchildren whom she was most proud of; many nieces, and nephews including a her devoted nephew George Raad and a host of friends. Three brothers, Joseph, James, and Paul Ferraro, and two sisters, Julia Groves, and Peggy Raad all pre deceased her. Rose was born in Worcester, a daughter of Leonardo A. and Aurelia (Seravaglia) Ferraro. She has lived here all her life. Rose was very active in her life; she devoted her time to caring for her family. They were her inspiration and her life, especially her grand and great grandchildren. Rose also found time to enjoy her friends; she was a member of the Beato Angelo de Arci Association, Our Lady of Loreto Leisure Club, The Jolly Jills singing group, Our Lady of Providence Guild and St. Vincent de Paul Society. Rose was a member of St Stephen Church and attended mass regularly. She and her husband John loved to Dance and were members of the Saturday night participants of the Froshinn club in Shrewsbury. Rose and her husband owned and operated Rose's Limousine service for many years. The funeral will be held Monday, July 20th from the MERC ADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to Calling hours, Sunday, July 19th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
