Edward L Ryba Jr

Edward L. Ryba, Jr., 66, of Shrewsbury, passed away Thursday, July 9 2009. Ed is survived by his devoted wife, Kathleen (Balestra) Ryba; his daughters, Laura J. King, her husband Thomas, their children Robin, Karin, Sean and Eve of Shrewsbury; and Jennifer L. Marshall, her husband John, their children Ashley, Ally and Peyton of Paxton; stepdaughter Marcie A. Trippi, her partner Eric Zeh of Worcester, stepson Nicholas A. Trippi, his wife Patricia their children Elaina, Lucas, and Nathan of Shrewsbury; a brother, James and his wife Deb, of Franklin NH, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Ed's daughter, Leanne M. Ryba, passed away in 1985. Special people in Ed's life include Bill King, Brian Moore, Audrey & Michael Marcy and Sandra O'Brien. Ed was born in Brockton, MA son of the late Edward L.Ryba, Sr. and Mary E. (O'Neil) Ryba. He attended Tabor Academy in Marion, MA and Boston College. Ed lived in Shrewsbury for many years, was an avid Lionel train collector, Patriots football fan and gardener. Most of all, his wife, children and grandchildren were his inspiration and treasured love and he was theirs. Ed was a Sales Representative for Rovic. Inc. was committed to servicing his customers and as a result created many lasting friendships. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all the doctors, nurses and extended staff at UMass Hospital, Dr. Deborah Hazen and staff - Shrewsbury, and Dr. David Shepro and staff -Worcester. The funeral will be held Monday, July 13th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anne Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mt View Cemetery in Shrewsbury. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Sunday, July 12th from 4 pm to 7pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St Anne Church Free Medical Clinic, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd, Shrewsbury, MA.
