Dana A. Ahearn, 32, of Worcester, died Friday, July 3, 2009 in UMASS Medical Center. Dana is survived by his daughter, who meant the world to him, Lydia J. Ahearn of Maynard; his mother, Denise (Ahearn) Nordstrom and his step father, David E. Nordstrom of Millbury; two brothers, Peter Ahearn of Worcester and William Ahearn of Jefferson; a step brother, David E. Nordstrom Jr. of Worcester; a step sister, Susan Montero of Shrewsbury; maternal grandparents, William and Jeanette Ahearn of West Boylston; his Godparents, Kimberly Curtis of Oxford and Gary Ahearn of Oxford; many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester on December 27, 1976, son of the late Gary Plaint, and graduated from Grafton High School. Mr. Ahearn worked as a maintenance contractor and drywall installer for several years. He enjoyed fishing, basketball, and had a passion for nature and animals. He was a sweet person with a big heart and loved to be with his daughter, who brought him great joy and happiness. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 8, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., with a service beginning at 6 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
