Donald B Gately

Donald B. Gately, 60, of Worcester, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 in Saint Vincent Hospital after a period of failing health. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Mary A. (Plitouke) Gately; his daughter Cassandra Gately and her fiancé Paul Tessier of Worcester; his mother Leona (Viger) Gately of Worcester and a brother Francis Gately Jr. of Worcester. Mr. Gately was born in Worcester, son of the late Francis Gately Sr. and graduated from Worcester Vocational Technical High School. Donald recently retired from Christ the King Church after 28 years of dedication. He previously had been employed for over 13 years for the former Reed & Prince Company. Donald's funeral will be held Monday, July 6th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anne Church, 130 Boston Tpke, Shrewsbury. Burial will be at a later date. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family from 8:30 a.m. till 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to his funeral Mass.
