Joseph G Gemma

Joseph G. Gemma, 83, of Shrewsbury died peacefully Monday June 29, 2009 at home. Joseph is survived by his wife Norma M. (Marrone) Gemma, a son Jay D. Gemma, and a daughter Lynne M. Perreault all of Shrewsbury. And two grandchildren Luke and Liza, and several nephews and nieces. Joseph was born in Worcester son of the late Joseph and Chiaria (Grimaldi) Gemma and has lived in Shrewsbury over twenty five years. He was a graduate of Commerce High School and New England School of Accounting. He was a Navy veteran of WW11 and the Korean War. Joseph was a self employed stock broker for many years before he retired. He was a member of Our Lady Of Mt Carmel-St. Ann Church, The East Side Post American Legion # 201, and the Disabled American Veterans Association. He enjoyed being with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and friends. Private funeral services for Joseph were held Thursday.Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery. There were no calling hours. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Massachusetts Veterans Shelter in care of Mass.
